Scythe

It’s that time of year when the meadows I have established need cutting. I visited this meadow and it was still in full bloom in early September. It seems all of my meadows will need cutting later in the season, which isn’t a bad thing. Using a Scythe is great exercise and kind to the habitats residents. When is comes to cutting a meadow, it is always good practice to leave patches which are uncut. This ensures invertebrates have habitat to over winter and complete their lifecycle.
